Sona Verdi was born in Baku, Azerbaijan and lives in New York City, where she writes fiction and translates lost Russian literature from her Upper West Side apartment. Sona is a Lillian Vernon Fellow and Adjunct Professor at NYU, where she is earning her MFA. In her other life she was a mixed reality engineer at Meta and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
